They have limbs that they can pull themselves over land with, though this would be incredibly slow and clumsy and I imagine they wouldn't utilize that method of transportation unless necessary or forced.

Just a heads-up: I usually delete the threads I made before it reaches 10 replies because I want to keep my forum history tidy.
I'd imagine if they had to book it they'd use the "snake on sand" method like so.

In that way they wouldnt need the gripping scales or muscles required for forward backward slithering but instead could use powerfully side to side muscle movements to propel themselves keeping only certain points of itself in contact with the ground.
