Current Theory: Two numbers per option (length, wingspan, weight) are randomly chosen between a set range (eg 1.35 to 0.40). These numbers are assigned on a rotation (so on day 2 you could get +0.7 and on day 3 you could get +0.8) and are added to your dragon's length/wingspan/weight every 24 hours. This would mean a quick way to find dragon size could be X*15+(Y*15)+O wherein X is even-day number, Y is odd-day number, and O is original size.
I thought I'd make a forum for this in case anyone else was interested, so
here it is!
Recently, I've gone on a quest to get a
really big (Length around 30m wingspan >20) Imperial male for a certain bit of lore and really just for the fun of having one, but I'm also Myself, and like to be able to predict things with some amount of accuracy, so I ended up making a spreadsheet of my newest cyan imp hatchlings to try and figure out how Flight Rising calculates dragon sizes, since apparently no one knows.
So here's the sheet

I highlight matching growth colors with different colors, so that's why some of them are green.

They/Them
Roleplayer.
I used to be a people person, but then people ruined it.
I have an art shop!
I am a biology nerd trying to figure out the realism behind the dragon proportions so this is useful for me when figuring out max size
Do you by any chance have any means of finding the range of the original values for wingspan/weight/length for each dragon type?
Thank you so much for this

I would kill for an item that scattered a dragon's length, wingspan, and weight (honestly, the weight feels like a useless metric for an individual dragon, the ranges of weight should be moved to the breed pages). Length and wingspan are important to me for lore, and when it comes to gem breeds, that's an expensive rescatter through changing breeds. It could be a good small treasure sink too.
I'll be surprised if there's any kind of formula to how the stats are calculated.

i have a banescale that matches the wiki's max for banescale length
(although, that hasnt been updated since 2020)

i wonder what the range is for these
