I thought I was the only one. Always, always read them as FURY-an instead of... what they actually are. I think I only noticed my slip up last year for the first time.
Fuiran are one of the few species in the Shifting Expanse that prey upon Scalebacks. Their powerful jaws are capable of cracking the thick hide.

Striation will always be sitration in my head, I thought oilslick was obelisk (? How, I don't now), bestiary as beastiary, gembond as gembound (Learned that today.), fuiran as furian, and a whole lot more that I've forgotten about.
