Tbh I'm hoping at some point (not even just earth, I feel like water especially this could work too) that there is at least one ancient that does not have wings, and instead has some other feature the secondary goes on. Big fins for water ancient, or rocky outgrowths/crystal spikes for earth. Nothing saying ancients have to have wings in particular, as long as there is something for the secondary.

My money is on wyrm’s for sure! I mean it’d make sense really, earthshaker’s canonically first modern couldn’t fly so why should the original?
Though i would like to see another flying earth type, a flying wyrm would be cool
