Ok, maybe I'm missing something, but one of the familiars...
[item=Furry Fiddle]
It's called the Furry Fiddle. It drops fluffy dandelion puffs, and its tooltip describes it as "furiously fuzzy", but... (alternate color also shown)

I cannot FOR THE LIFE OF ME figure out WHERE the fur is?? At least on Podids you can eventually tell it's on their tummies, but... it doesn't look like that on the leg fish...
(Podids for reference:)

I can't see fur either. Maybe they have tiny microscopic hairs all over. e_e

I’m happy to find out I’m not the only one extremely confused by the familiar, lol. I just assumed it was some weird joke that goes a mile over my head. Like, is the point that it’s clearly not furry? The other one is a catfish, and catfishing is a term used for pretending to be something you’re not (online) so is the fiddle a catfish catfishing?? I dunno, I feel like I’m reaching and it’s actually something super simple.

How long were you staring, looking for fur? That catfish played you like a fiddle.
to be fair, when they're animated in the coliseum the legs look furry.
I assume it's a reference to the odontodes (dermal teeth) that some species of catfish have. It can look a lot like fur, but structurally it's more similar to teeth. As for the "fiddle" part, I figure it's because juvenile channel catfish are often called "fiddlers" in some places. I'm not sure if channel catfish have odontodes though. I believe it's mostly just armored catfish (Loricariidae) such as plecostomus and otocinclus that have them. The mire catfish familiars do look like they belong in Loricariidae though.
