My theories:
Evie was mind-wiped and breed changed. If she wasn't mind-wiped, she gets to live the rest of her life knowing she was incredibly mistaken to taunt them and is trapped in a different body.
Moth is now under their control permanently. He's probably their slave for the rest of his life, having to get the things off of the top shelf they can't reach, carry their heavy packages, give them rides all over the Tangled Wood, and fetch their midnight snacks.
