If you're looking for dragons that don't exist or know of dragons that don't exist, please go to
this thread. Thanks!
Last night, I was staying up thinking about Flight Rising like a do a lot. My mind was aimlessly wandering when it hit the question; have all possible dragon combinations been bred? Every single breed, color, and gene combination ever? So now it's been chewing at me since ten last night and I need answers. Let's go.
How can I help?
Easy! Just find dragons. Either submit from your lair or do a dragon search. It does not matter the state of the dragon as long as they are on the website.
How do I know what dragons have been found?
Please check
this self-editing document.
Thank you all for your help! I can't wait to see this project progress! If you have any questions, feel free to ping me or PM me :)

I can easily say no given some colour combinations still have never existed on any dragon, but I'm certain you're more interested in which ones haven't?

Yeah, I'm trying to see if there are any color, breed, and gene combinations that don't exist yet at all. To find that, I'm cataloging all of the dragons on the site, whether or not they are in an active lair, inactive lair, or exalted.

Ah, then there are plenty! But I think it's cool to keep track of which don't or haven't yet. Despite that it might be a little hard given people are constantly hatching new dragons, using breed changes, etc. etc.
I have a friend attempting to create all colour combinations, so hopefully the more he continues the shorter the list will be!

Instead of documenting 63 million dragons it might be easier to pick some unpopular colours and genes and put them in search to see what comes up?
We tried hypnotic and keel and found 20 total dragons so loads of colour and gene combos don't exist there. There are no
basic/hypnotic/keel dragons of any colour.
There are 88+ million just colour and breed combinations, we aren't good enough/too lazy at maths to do the whole separate ancient gene thing, so plenty of them won't exist at all.

Yeah, it's going to be really hard lol but that won't stop me from trying
I'm hoping to get a lot of people participating and I'll also be doing daily dragon searches so both of those should help
And if you have any advice or anything, I'd be happy to hear it!

The only answer will always be "no" because last I saw, over a year ago, the number was 8 orders of magnitude more than the number of dragons that have existed on the site.

It would definitely be easier to find dragons that aren't on the site at all. However, I still want to have a catalog of all of the dragons available but I will start another thread for gene/color combinations that aren't in circulation yet.

Cribbing from
here it looks like 193,966,719,644,237 assuming you're not counting gender and hatchlings separately. Yes, I included the 3 genes added since April 4, 2020.
To give you an idea of how much that is one trillion seconds is 31,546 years.
As of about 5 minutes ago there have been 63,478,080 dragon hatched. That's 1,057,968 minutes or 17,632.8 hours or 734.7 days or just over 2 years if you entered one dragon per second into your spreadsheet.

I want to live in Theory. Everything works there.
Have you checked the
Gem MP for Gene and Breed scrolls before buying an AH listing from me ending in
5g?

Oh wow that's a lot of dragons haha! I definitely won't be able to catalog them all but I'll get as many as I can and I'm also working on a document to catalog all of the missing dragons. Thanks for the numbers!
