TOPIC | How to get genes?
I'm wondering how people get genes in the first place. I just don't want my dragons to look plain anymore. What's the easiest way to get genes? Thank you. Have a nice day : )

The marketplace sells genes for treasure!

Or gems

You can also brew them in Baldwin

Or trade Swipp certain items for a gene when it's available for trade here;

Hello!

There are two major types of genes: treasure and gem genes.

Treasure and gem genes can either be bought from the marketplace or auction house using treasure, FR's standard currency earned through normal gameplay, or gems, a premium currency that can be earned by selling things, opening treasure chest items, or buying with real money. There are other ways of acquiring genes, such as loot drops from the coliseum feature, or brewing them using special materials at Baldwin's Bubbling Brew in the trading post.

If you are looking for a specific gene I would say use the Game Database to look at all of the available ones and then look for it on the auction house. Genes can get pretty expensive, though. There are also Ancient genes for the special breeds Gaoler and Banescale, which cannot be used on "modern" breeds - Guardian, Ridgeback, Tundra, etc. So if you buy Banescale Contour, you can't use it on your Guardian.

Hey, friendly reminder to drink water, stretch, and take a short break if you can. Stay healthy! Also, don't forget about any chores or tasks you might be putting off.
There are also some genes that you can find by fighting in the coliseum. You can buy those from other players on the auction house, those can tend to be on the cheaper side.
