Is there any sort of collector's group for pure imps? Pure as in "only have imp parents"? Cause there can't be that many pure imps on the site
Edit: Mostly wondering cause I've made a couple registries and "Pure Imp" might be a fun registry to create, I'm just wondering if there's any interest. It would be neat to see what the highest gen pure imp on the site is
Edit2: Maybe just dragons who are only related to gen1 imps-- that is to say, every founder (g1) in their lineage is an imperial? So like dragons between your imp and the founders may have been bc'd, but as long as all the founders are imps they count?
Edit3: What about just considering dragons within the 5gen cutoff? So every gen1 dragon AND all the dragons 5 gens out must be imps?

Are you talking about Gen 2 Imperials or Imperials with only Imperial ancestry back to the Gen 1 dragons? Pure Imperials with just Imperial parents aren't rare, its the other two (Gen 2 or all the way to Gen 1) that are.

Yes, but really only for second gen imps. They tend to command high prices, both because of the rarity of active g1 breeding pairs, and because they're as close as a player can realistically get to having an actual g1 Imp.
G3+ are indistinguishable from any other Imperial, even if they are pure, and so mostly speaking aren't any more valuable than any other.

If you mean a dragon where both parents are G1 imps, you should be able to find breeders in the dragon sales but I’m not sure there’s an actual group for collectors. That’s definitely a type of dragon I’d like someday

I was talking about both, since gen1 and gen2 imps are rare, wouldn't imps that have only imp parents all the way back also be rare, because it takes a lot of grandparents the newer a dragon is?
Like, every parent in your dragon's list all the way back to gen1 are all 100% imps

The dragon doesn't have to be a gen2 itself, but like all its parents and grandparents and so on all the way back to gen1 are ALL imps?

The gen3+ was what I was wondering about, thanks! I'm wondering if gen3 and on will ever get more valuable, as gen1 and 2 imps get more rare

They are getting more rare to some extent, but not by much, as there are still people regularly breeding their g1 imp pairs, which is where all the g2 imps come from haha. They only become more rare when one of those people leaves the site or decides to stop breeding their pair. I'm sure someone out there has at least contemplated breeding their g2 imps to make pure g3 imps but I don't know if I've ever seen it personally. Someone into the g2 imp market might know.

Pure gen3 imps are a thing, I can confirm. I have a breeding pair that's a pure gen2 and a pure gen3 (their hatchlings are all pure gen3/4). I'm not sure if there are actual breeding pairs or which ones are active, but they are out there.
