i have a headcanon that switching breeds is viewed as what transgenders are viewed as today. some have,, unfortunate views, others are open minded. so when i imagine a dragon switching to a fae, i imagine them going through the anxiety of having to tell their families and friends and things. then i imagine everyone accepting them and i love it
