He and his clan doctor are working on creating medication to treat it, and to find a cure in general. She was infected at an early age and considers herself better then the Lightweaver. Her mind has been altered by the Shade and her only goal now is to infect other dragons. I'm not quite sure on her lore yet but it's safe to say by her accent that it'll have to do with the Shade.

@Cheeseburger eyyyy dark lore with a side of humour is where it's at these days. it's hip with the kids

@brit aah it's definitely in my top fives, considering how many of my dragons are based on inception characters. I want a Cobb or Ariadne dragon so bad...

Okay, here's some ~edgy humor~ for ya:

- A dragon gets infected with the Shade in their relative teenage years.

- Emophase.png

- "No, MOM, you don't understand... This is who I AM. It's NOT just a ~phase~!"

- Dragon is imprisoned to prevent further contamination

- Dragon covers the walls on their cell with emo dragon band posters and starts wearing only black apparel

- If, by chance, the dragon's tertiary color is black-range, they change their tert gene to Stained

This is really interesting! I created a plague subspecies dealing with imps made from the shade by mama plaguebringer! ouo

I've been considering incorporating a shade-touched dragon into my lore.

I've always figured shade alters the mind to varying degrees and depending on the severity of the contamination could change the dragons appearance. So I've had ideas for a shade-touched dragon being paraded around as a kind of freakshow exhibit. (A pale, emaciated husk of a wildclaw with dark eyes and black spines confined within a decorated wheeled cage where it paces constantly, whispering to itself, only to hiss and snap at any who draw near. And it's only 5g to witness it yourself.)

And that the effects range from just becoming cold and loyal to the shade to dragons who are suffering from really strange mutations just like the offspring of the dragon above.
