TOPIC | What is a "Tree" dragon?
I have a pair of brown range primary, green range secondary, nocturnes and I'm told they're tree dragons. Which apparently is a good thing?

However I have no idea what a "tree" dragon is. Are they a subspecies? Or just a specific combo?

Can anyone help me answer the plethora of questions I now have? D:

Um idk I think you're overcomplicating it, they're just brown and green dragons that look like trees because they're brown and green, and many people (especially from the nature flight) like them for that reason

Tree dragons existed before subspecies became a thing although they are also a nature subspecies. Tree dragons are essentially any dragon that resembles a tree (a generic tree is brown range primary and green range secondary) and are a fairly popular combination in nature. Some players breed specialty tree dragons for example sakura/cherry tree dragons which have a pink secondary to resemble a cherry tree in bloom or dragons that resemble a tree in snow with a brown primary, green secondary and white gembond. There is breeding hub dedicated to trees that may be of interest

@Riverspell I think I can help you with this. I have a hatchery called Outliers that specializes in subspecies dragons from all the flights.. Here is my Nature flight Evergreen Tree pair. Thank you guys for the responses! I'll check out those links. I was just really kind of confused and curious as I'd never heard of them. And the folks I talked with seemed excited/interested and said some people sought them out. So I thought they might be a subspecies or something.

Anyhow, thanks for the help!

Brown Primary, Green Secondary, often with a Ripple primary to resemble tree bark and sometimes a Freckle secondary to resemble leaves. I believe it's a Nature Subspecies, but probably was around before that.
