this is a reason why i prefer males over females of ridgies BUT i still like females.
Their one long claw just doesint make sense to me like the males claws.
am i the only one that thinks this ?
I just find the claws unappealing compared to the males ?
D:
But i still love ridgebacks but claaaaws.
( also sorry for the amount of threads ops)

If the male Ridgeback sits down... wouldn't the claws poke him? Furthermore, why do they even need claws if they have their noses?
Ah, but I do agree that the male claw design looks nicer than the female one. Now only if we could hide those noses.

Their claws are designed the same way, they're just posed differently.

I can't say I love ridgebacks but they are far from my least favorite. I see nothing wrong with the claw orientation. If the female were stand she would most likely look like that... probably...

It kinda looks like the claws on the males are just spikes sticking out of the back of the feet, while the females look like they have strange thumb claws. Neither makes a whole lot of sense to me, so I just don't pay too much attention to the claws XD

So.. In other words, they have very loose fingers to be able to twist them back and forth like that. Even though I was sure the designs differed from one another, with a closer look they really do appear to be the same but the female's nails look unnatural because of.. loose.. finger bone.. Probably. I still like Ridgebacks though. :D

I love both but I like the males just a little more because of the nose.

You know, I never really thought about it much. I just saw the female ridgie's claws as, well, really long fingernails. |D
