Tialoc has always had a soft spot for kids, and ze knows the importance of being gentle with them. Tialoc perks up as he remembers something, "Oh, I picked up some pastries on the road, would you like one? They're fresh!"

"I myself am quite enchanted with their dance. If it isn't too much of an ask, may I, perhaps, have a pastry? I have seen your pastries from a recently opened shop but I haven't found the time to check it out."

Then again, I’m told I don’t act like the kinda girl who does.” She sits herself down and fidgets with a beaded bracelet on her wrist. “Don’t get too caught up in being ‘enchanted with the flames’ dance,’ by the way. Last thing we need in town is some kinda arsonist next. I guess they are kinda pretty, sometimes, though. A machine in the shape of a Skydancer- not lifelike, of course, but the features were easily recognizable. There was no artificer around that Tapeworm could see, so it was safe to assume the automaton was moving, speaking and [i]feeling[/i] of its own free will! Thoroughly entranced, Tapeworm began to circle Chica like a vulture, her own stench of decay hiding the scent of the rotting body within the moving machine.
