you can absolutely level them before hand and it may be a good idea to, with the shorter amount of time I will likely waive the /at least one level per night survived' requirement but the prize for the highest level exalted will still be awarded!

ScatteredAshes unfortunately you cannot enter a dragon who has already been exalted, they need to be sent to @/HoneyedBee when they die in the simulator so we can keep track of level, but if you want to enter a different dragon you are more than welcome to!

Welcome, you three tributes, to the first day of the games.
Each of you has been granted a boon by the Shadow Binder, extra life. You will each have eight lives to fight with, be wise with them.
Day one:
As the horn sounds, the three tributes rush towards the supplies. Frigg begins gathering as much food as she can carry, fighting briefly with Monarch over a basket of bread until he lunges forward with a headbutt, breaking her nose and causing her to flee with what she has already gathered. Once Frigg has fled the scene, Monarch begins searching for a weapon. He turns his attention to Sherrill, who has hidden himself inside the structure, clutching a sickle and waiting for Monarch to approach. Monarch, emboldened by his brief but victorious fight with Frigg, takes the bait, lunging at Sherrill and knocking him down. After a brief struggle, Monarch walks away with the sickle , and his first kill. Sherrill awakens a few moments later, down to seven lives. He grabs a spear to replace his stolen sickle and heads into the forest.
It doesn't take long for Sherrill to find Frigg, nursing her broken nose in a cave. They team up to hunt down Monarch and even the score. It takes them an hour or so to track him down but when they do, Sherrill attacks on sight, successfully avenging himself and taking back his sickle, leaving Monarch down one life. Frigg applauds her partners success, until he turns to her with a snarl, she is now the only one with all eight lives remaining, and they did set out to even the score. He turns on her in an instant, using an explosive they had rigged to set her ablaze, taking one of her lives. Frigg becomes enraged at the betrayal, rising from the ashes much faster than anticipated and chasing after Sherrill. She catches him at the edge of a cliff, and the two begin grappling with one another, each trying to launch the other over the edge. Frigg is angry, but her rage is not enough to overpower Sherrill, and in the end it's Frigg who falls over the edge, losing another life.
Many hours later, Monarch, who has awoken and fashioned himself a wooden spear, finds Frigg laying at the bottom of the cliff. He waits a moment until he sees her begin to breathe again, and immediately takes another life from her before running off in search of Sherrill.

When they awaken, Monarch attacks immediately, he and Frigg tussle for some time before he takes yet another one of her lives and leaves, running off into the woods at dawn before she can awaken again.
Day two:
Sherrill, left alone all night and well rested, sets off to find food. He comes across an area with several berry bushes and begins to collect them, eating a few handfuls as he gathers. After a few minutes, he realizes his mistake, but it's too late by then. Monarch finds him hours later, and once again waits until he begins to breathe again and strikes, leaving him with two fewer lives instead of one. Unable to escape his bad luck, Frigg also finds Sherrill before he awakens, and not wanting to risk losing another fight, lights the area on fire so it will cost him another life before he can escape.
A horrible storm of acid rain begins to fall over the arena. Monarch trips while trying to find shelter and injures his leg, he loses one life to the rain as he is unable to run at his full speed to escape. Sherrill, disoriented and afraid, also loses one life to the rain as he struggles to find shelter. Finally, Sherrill manages to find a cave that is safe from the storm. Frigg and Monarch both attempt to enter but he fends them both off, causing them each to lose another life.
End of day two standings:
Monarch: 4 kills, 4 death, 4 lives remaining
Sherril: 5 kills, 5 death, 3 lives remaining
Frigg: 1 kills, 6 deaths, 2 lives remaining

Shadow Binder presents to her tributes a feast, inviting them each to come receive a reward for their endurance. Monarch and Frigg arrive first. Monarch, still desperate to defeat Sherrill, flies into a blind rage and attacks Frigg on sight. He takes her final two lives and leaves here there as a warning for Sherrill. Sherrill never makes it to the feast. Still distracted by his mistake the day before, he falls into a lake of acid rain and loses another life. Then, trying to reach the feast, he falls into a trap and loses yet another. After this he decides the feast is not worth more attempts to attend.
