I see some components that made up Tiercel! Bluejay, flower, sword, mountain... Yes, I think we should approach the light, and either touch it or go through it if that does nothing.

It's an average sword of average construction made of ordinary metal. After equipping the normal sword, you go off your way into the darkness... away from the island mountain peak. You appear to treading or rather floating on what appears to be black... idunnium. You really can't make heads or tails on what the floor is. You approach what appears to be twisted wood perch.
