This was hard, I tend to agree so I really had to think of ugly combos and tbh, I think the radioactive trail is still the best part of this dragon so I don't know if i succeeded.
Next person: Clouded/saturn is a bad gene combo on any dragon

I think these came out well. Circuit also worked well as a tert but was hard to color match.
Firefly doesn't look right in dark colors.

Magenta/Coal/Thicket, random genes. Stained has not improved things. I'd argue it makes things worse.

While not entirely the fault of metals, it would look a lot better if the crackle's colour matched. Crackle is salvageable, but metals isn't it's savior. I have to admit, metals is very neutral but not bland. It has no flaws, but few real strengths either.
Adult male snappers look terrible and the only way to salvage them is with apparel. I dare you to show me a naked snapperman and tell me it looks good.

And... you were saying? The faceted eyes completely fix the eye problem IMO, and the dark starmap hides the awkward mouth.
