"I'm Chilli and although I'm not fully grown yet, i'm the courier for my clan. The shoes give good support since I have to do a lot of running. Since I sometimes need to fly over dangerous areas -- I learnt to fight, but I'd rather avoid trouble when I have a package to protect! -- the mad scientists in my lair made me these wings, they let me stay in the air for a long time and even nap up there if I need to. The bandana keeps my feathers out of my eyes and the pouches are for carrying things in." He looks a bit embarrassed at the obviousness of the last statement, but quickly regains his enthusiasm. "Thank you for having me here!" he chirps, and settles down to watch the other contestants introduce themselves.

The idea behind this carnival game certainly wasn't foreign to him, as he'd entered several similar contests during the other Flight Festivals, but it was the daily theme that caught his eye. He looked down at himself, noting that his usual, everyday poet's hat and accessories were already in place. With a few minor adjustments, his costume was ready! Dilettante slowly entered the tent, taking a moment to observe it. He knew from experience that presentation and first impressions were just as important as the costume itself, and tried to work out a suitable course of action. When he spotted the charming, pale Wildclaw who seemed to be in charge, he had an idea. As much as he hated showing affection towards another female besides his nonreciprocating love of his life, it would be worth it for victory. Dilettante glided over to Pandorica and gave as much as a bow as is possible for a Spiral dragon, gracefully removing the rose from his mouth to speak clearly. "Greetings! You're the one in charge, yes? Clearly such a wondrous event could only be organized by one so lovely as yourself," he remarked smoothly. He'd been working on the art of impressing ladies in the hope he could impress that one in particular, but he wasn't completely confident that he had mastered it yet. Dilettante removed his hat and took out a piece of parchment that was stored in it all in one fluid motion. On the parchment was Dilettante's most recent poem. He had planned on adding a few more stanzas, but it was passable as is. He preferred to devote most of his time writing poems for Sable, however he had taken up writing more generic poems to sell, like the one he had with him. "It must be fate that brought me here, for only one as beautiful as you could be the one I've written of in this poem," he said, handing over the poem to the Wildclaw. "My name is Dilettante. Don't let my oceanic eyes fool you; you will find I'm the finest poet in the Windswept Plateau," he explained. With that, he readjusted his hat and returned the red rose to his mouth before gliding away towards where some other entrants were gathered, hoping all the while that his suave act had worked.

"Now, justice is something that must be maintained not just through words, but also action when necessary and vice versa. Keeping the peace is something I highly treasure! (--Even if, internally, she wouldn't be sure what to do with herself if there was no crime to fight!) "And let us never forget to be role models for the dear children within the premises. Believe in yourself, and you can be 'super' too!" This is totally a legit job! She did well hiding her anxiousness about saying the right things for the presentation, and with a grin flies off as dramatically as she came in--to go round to the backstage. Where she sighs in relief. That was nerve-wracking!

He's an archivist/librarian who hoards books. Thousands of years ago, after the Second War, dragon slaying became a rather lucrative (if extremely dangerous) pastime of the humans. Since dragons are made of precious metal, dragon scale became a currency. Otto--whose real name is Zbigniew Machacek, but no one can pronounce that properly--fought only briefly during the Second War, and after the truces were signed, he and his family went to live in Stosk. Unfortunately, his family members were slain while he was out one day, and he has never forgiven himself since. He fled to the continent of Alamar, disguising himself as various animals for several centuries (dragons are shape shifters) before finally settling into a human form. Otto began hoarding books, building himself a library and constantly adding onto it when he needed more room for books. Eventually, a human religious group asked if they could perhaps rent part of the building. He didn't want to let them, but he agreed to let them stay for a short time. When the group of humans started growing in number, they gave their organization a name: The Bell Founder's Guild, a group of bell makers and tinkers. After two generations, a land dispute broke out nearby, and the Bell Founders began making cannons and guns, joining in on the war. Otto began to grow impatient of them, but there were hundreds of Bell Founders now, and if he wanted to kick them out, he might reveal his true form: A gold dragon. For now, he tolerates them, considering them to be his janitors. It has been hundreds of years since the founding of the Bell Founder's Guild, and nearly no one knows who Otto is, or why he seems to have so much influence on the guild masters; all they know is that if you want to borrow a book, you'd better not dog-ear it or there'll be hell to pay.

The tiger-scaled Guardian follows her paler, smaller escort, only realizing once she's taking to the preparation rooms that this is not the kind of competition she initially thought it would be. "It may not be any sort of physical contest, but I'm already here, so I must as well see what happens," the dragon mumbles, heading into an unoccupied chamber. There she takes off her Bloodscale Armor and begin to polish it to a brilliant sheen. She also does her best to make her old, battered Gorget more presentable. She doesn't bother removing her bloodied bandages; they might not look very appealing, but the wounds they're protecting are still healing and can't be left uncovered for risk of infection. Once she's done, she puts her armor back on and heads out to the main hallway, following signs to where other dragons are waiting. The female watches them introduce themselves, each one decked out in various garb. Some looks quite fetching, others look fierce, like her, and still others are plain but smart. After several minutes it's her turn. She strides forward before turning to face the crowd. "My name is Vendetta," she says in a low but rough and commanding voice. "I am one of the Warriors of my Clan. That much might be obvious, though." She offers a smile and motions to her apparel. "This is...not what I was expecting when I was brought into this, but it might be interesting, and I do enjoy a bit of a break from patrolling and battling every so often." She bows her head and returns to where she'd been waiting, lying on the floor and curling up like a giant cat. Her crimson eyes sweep over those present, patiently waiting for the others who'd recently come in to take their turn.
