For the first six months (roughly) I used a random number generator, and that was horrible. Then I found myself a secret Santa generator, which made randomization much faster, but I still had to enter the data manually otherwise. Still not ideal.
Then about 2 years ago, I took an intro to computer science class that would change my life. (Or at least my Saturdays)
I learned the most basic of python code (that I no longer remember...), And wrote up the program I use today.
I still have to manually enter the names of people, dragons, and the dragon IDs, but it only takes about 15 minutes to half an hour, as opposed to the hour+ that I had to deal with originally. The program does all the randomization and prints out the pings/who to send it to.
