All of my dragons are dragons but some are, shall we say, more than dragon:
Gale was a normal dragon once, but a magical experiment gone awry led to his becoming a sentient gust of wind. He manipulates vines and branches to create a sort of pseudo-body, but his true form is just straight up air.
Sonnerie may have been all dragon once, but she was never really "normal." Now the members of the clan place bets on how much of her is still dragon, and how much she has replaced with machinery. Nobody knows for sure, but the current popular opinion is 80% machine, 20% dragon.
Her son Vine was born in the Tangled Wood, and seems to have an unusual amount of plant symbiosis going on, to the point that he is also the subject of bets. Right now the popular vote is 60% plant, 40% dragon.
Revanta was a normal-ish dragon who was cursed into a bestial form. This doesn't expecially bother him, but can make him a bit intimidating to those who don't know he is the most cinnamon roll dude around.
Ullr was cursed by that same sorceress (his sister!) and is now a Mirror-Maren. Like Revanta, he's pretty chill about this development. Living in a primarily aquatic Water clan probably helps.
Maxixe, like her parents, is 100% butterfly or fairy or something, and definitely not a dragon. Definitely.
Asterion fell from the heavens and took on the form of a dragon. No one is entirely sure what he really is, but the prevailing guess is a shooting star.
His mate Mania is known as the Mother of Ghosts, but what that means, exactly, is unclear. Is she a ghost herself? An assassin? A teller of spooky stories? Nobody knows.
