Or maybe they seek revenge on the descendants of their original owners. Or maybe they seek answers about their condition, wondering how or [i]who[/i] reanimated them, bringing them back to life from their peaceful slumber. Ergo, the Espresso Defection and Espresso Defectors. The Espresso Defection are a group of sentient stuffed animals, all descended from the original two stuffies to gain sentience, Coffee and Cuddles. The descendants of these two dragons have the ability to interbreed with normal dragons as usual, but any children born who retain the patchwork gene will also retain the Defector Ability. The Defector Ability, the titular ability that defines this lineage, is the ability to awaken other discarded stuffed animals to sentience. These newly awakened dragons will be functionally identical to other dragons, but they are not themselves able to pass on the Defector Ability. Only descendants of Coffee & Cuddles may posses or pass on the Defector Ability. In terms of personality, Espresso Defectors vary as widely as dragonkind. They do [i]tend[/i] to lean towards either being kind and affectionate, as you'd expect of a stuffed animal, or they take after their parents. Both Sludgeater and Awapuhi are [i]extremely[/i] bitter about being discarded, left behind, and abandoned by the people supposed to care for them. ahhh what cute babies!! i may have snagged one to go with the brine defection baby i got yesterday >> (will register them as soon as they grow up!)

which reminds me, not relevant right now since they're both girls, but what's your stance on cross-breeding between the three defection lineages?

@falsecargo I'm totally okay with crossbreeding these babies with other defection lineages, and any other lineages on-site. Just the standard don't breed within the same lineage, to keep the lines simple. So you can cross verdant x espresso, just not espresso x espresso, if that makes sense :)
