More uncommon is to see one mostly colored like the moon, leaving only a little bit of blue. If a bakunawa is completely blue, they are, like non-water dragons, not pure Bakunawas. They will still possess lunar magic, but their powers will be dramatically weakened. In opposition, Bakunawas that are wholly colored like the moon are extremely powerful and are often leaders.
Sometimes, a Bakunawa will have the colors of their beloved moon, but of the dark side that shows only on rare occasions. Bakunawas with any amount of this color will be more tied to the dark night and the new moon. Their powers are strongest during moonless nights or lunar eclipses, where even the stars are afraid to shine. These Bakunawas tend to lean towards a morally gray conscience.
