I like silver, and I tried a few different wing colors before I decided that white went well with it.
I had a difficult time with his random purple tertiary for a while, but the release of Capsule changed things since I like how it interacts with some wing apparel gradients.

There's pretty much the reasoning for my custom's colors. :P I tend to gravitate toward the cooler colors. But since I ended up being in Wind Flight, they worked out pretty well.

I made a seafoam/emerald guardian. I just thought dragons were often green and those two colors seemed to work together and match the wind theme?

He's scattered now, but back then I barely knew anything about the site so when I had to choose his colors I went with a combination of pink and purple.
Why you ask? Well because I thought it was funny to have a fuzzy pink dragon, and it fitted his eyes.
And then his tert ended up being carabbean.
And then I realized that I hated his colors and that they were horrid and I couldn't make them work for the life of me.
And it stopped being funny real quick.
Doesn't help that my random was brown/platinum/charcoal, and together they would make the most offensive looking babies.
I ended up scattering him when I realized that I couldn't handle him like that anymore and now he's a much better smoke/moss/latte
Why you ask? Well because I thought it was funny to have a fuzzy pink dragon, and it fitted his eyes.
And then his tert ended up being carabbean.
And then I realized that I hated his colors and that they were horrid and I couldn't make them work for the life of me.

Avocado/Tangerine because I was making my Progen based on an OC of mine. The fact she rolled Red as a tert was an RNG Miracle.

Green is good! I'll choose 2 contrasting shades of green... jungle looks like a good dark one and seafoam is a cool light green. And... lightning flight seems like a good fit for me! Perfect.
At this point not my favorite colors, though jungle's generally one I can appreciate. Seafoam? Loathe it. Platinum I usually despise but I can acknowledge it's a pretty good random tert.
