my first permababy ....... how the time flies. Chess is a weird little thing and no one can tell if he's a ghost or just someone cursed into the form of a hatchling. on one hand his form seems like it's all there, and he doesn't appear to be an apparition... any cuts sustained from rare scuffles with other hatchlings bleed, too, like a normal creature should.
on the other hand, he only fully shows himself in the long dark days at the end of the year; indeed, when the days are at their longest, he is seldom seen at all. on the off chance Chess can be spotted in the summertime, he's always wallowing in the shadows, and his state of physicality seems to get a bit... unruly.

Angel was born to a former reigning tyrant, whom he has not seen in moons. he tries to stick close to his duties as a priest in the temple, following the Lightweaver closely, but oft finds himself distracted by the visages of divine beings, reminding him of his disgraceful, oracular father. formerly a formidable force of mischief while growing up in the temple away from his parents, he now attends silently to his duties as a kind but antisocial figure ghosting through the temple and over his denmate's heads.
