I’ve never gened a dragon before, but this primal definitely needs some work. What are your thoughts on where I should take him?

Personally, I'm not a fan of lace, but the Peacock looks really nice with the Butterfly. You can even keep with the Cherub and Fae breed and she'd already be enhanced quite a lot, though personally I like the consistency of the Python since it draws even more attention to those wings.
If you really want those colors to pop, though, you can try these breeds too:

For him, I wanted to take advantage of the fiery look of the red of the Ragged and the orange of the Tear for a fiery little one... but this one is best as a permabab, in my opinion. Especially because that Underbelly gives him that tiny little smile. So cute!!!

He is a hard one with that tert... but here are some ideas. I did discover Mosaic Fuchsia had a similar blue at least, so I did run a bit with that.
