Hello everyone! A few things of note have happened:
Firstly, I've fixed a few errors that slipped in the requirements. None of the registered faes got touched but please remember to update your saved searches, if any, before you shop for new merfaes.
Secondly, I've gone ahead and reworked the sales thread. I've added a section for breeders as well as saved searches for all merfaes variants. It's all a bit bare at the moment but in time it'll become more populated.
Thirdly, we have a new affiliate!

Also, i have two questions!
Is it common for merfaes to live in non-merfae clans? I have a water clan situated on a small island, but a lot of the clan life revolves around the sea. Would it be possible for merfaes to live there? (in the sea next to the island, but still be part of the clan)
I'd love to add Kholin to my water clan but i don't want it to cause lore problems!
And, is basic considered a gene? Or do merfaes have to be gened? I'd assume it's not and you need gened faes but aaa i just wanted to be sure!

The short answer is that it's perfectly fine to have merfaes in non-merfae clans, lore-wise. The long answer is that the commonness of it varies depending on the variant and the non-merfae clan's location. For example, Rixarfaes are the most commonly seen in non-merfae clans due to their origins and water clans would have a lot more chance to find merfaes since that's where the majority of them live. Still, there are no restrictions to where merfaes can live and in whose company; they only need to have access to enough water to avoid drying out. How that is achieved is up to your imagination :)
As for genes, merfaes indeed need to have 3 genes that aren't basic (and are on their specific variant list).
