@Aontacht Sure thing! I just updated the registry with everyone, including your gal. She's so lovely with those golden colors and her lore is so nice. [emoji=familiar heart size=1]

Good morning/evening/night everyone! I found the time to update our records with the lore for three new genes: smirch, stained, and glimmer. You can read about them below or on the main page! [columns][item=Tertiary Gene: Glimmer][nextcol]Harvest spirits with the glimmer gene specialize in bird pest control in large fields. These spirits lie belly up in the grasses, allowing the sunlight to catch their glimmering bellies and attract curious birds. When the bird goes toward the shiny thing, these spirits leap out to attack.[/columns] [columns][item=Tertiary Gene: Stained][nextcol]Harvest spirits with the stained gene are important members of their communities. Born with a special connection to their gardens, these creatures posses special cells (or perhaps magic) that respond according to the crops' health. Spirits with bright stained colors are reflective of healthy and flourishing harvests, while duller-stained spirits are a sign of poor crop health or even abandoned gardens.[/columns] [columns][item=Tertiary Gene: Smirch][nextcol]Much like their capsule counterparts, spirits with the smirch gene secret sweet-smelling liquid from their scales. This sticky fluid covers their body and attracts pests, which stick to the spirit's body (to be snacked on later by the spirit and its companions).[/columns] Pinglist: @immortalhd @LuneLight @Drakaneal @etui Sorry if there are any unwanted pings, but I wanted to make sure the people who asked got updated!
Good morning/evening/night everyone! I found the time to update our records with the lore for three new genes: smirch, stained, and glimmer. You can read about them below or on the main page!

Tertiary Gene: Glimmer Harvest spirits with the glimmer gene specialize in bird pest control in large fields. These spirits lie belly up in the grasses, allowing the sunlight to catch their glimmering bellies and attract curious birds. When the bird goes toward the shiny thing, these spirits leap out to attack.
Tertiary Gene: Stained Harvest spirits with the stained gene are important members of their communities. Born with a special connection to their gardens, these creatures posses special cells (or perhaps magic) that respond according to the crops' health. Spirits with bright stained colors are reflective of healthy and flourishing harvests, while duller-stained spirits are a sign of poor crop health or even abandoned gardens.
Tertiary Gene: Smirch Much like their capsule counterparts, spirits with the smirch gene secret sweet-smelling liquid from their scales. This sticky fluid covers their body and attracts pests, which stick to the spirit's body (to be snacked on later by the spirit and its companions).

@rapunzels

Oooo, that stained lore, I like it.

Also, what's the code you used for the Harvest Spirit bios?

@rapunzels - I really like this subspecies! They're so amusing and playful! I would love to be part of the pinglist! One of my dragons, Chrysanth, would almost fit them perfectly! His secondary is more blue than green though, but maybe he can be a variant that lives in the water? Or perhaps blue could be an accepted color for harvest spirits, getting that hue from dwelling in gardens with lots of water like in ponds or wells? Listen to the melody of the murmuring moon.
@rapunzels I am utterly in love with this whole concept and the effort you've put into it! I would love to be added to the general/news list :) edit: I would also love to register this tricksy little girl here and suggest some lore ideas for harvest spirits with the Runes tertiary gene, if I may :) For runed harvest spirits I like the idea of them being considered either a blessing or a curse by gardeners. Imbued with a little extra trickster magic, runed harvest spirits are often known to permanently change the colours of the flowers in gardens that they enjoy visiting. Some people are thrilled by these surprising flower colour variants appearing in their gardens and will try to tempt runed spirits to stay, but others wake up to the nasty shock of their prized red roses having been turned yellow at a spirit's whim and will actively seek to shoo them away...

@rapunzels This subspecies is so incredibly well done and unique! I absolutely adore it! Definitely plan on picking up one when I can! ^^ Also! Just an idea if you're still taking suggestions for tertiaries and lore! Runes could be a really neat one! The symbols could be incantations/prayers said by the farmers around the spirits in hopes of good harvest that eventually were magically imbued into their skin! A runes harvest spirit can carry those well wishes with it, exude the positive magic it brings, and help the garden prosper! -------- Edit: I'm absolutely hooked to these! They're so beautiful and fun! ;;w;; Would this boy I picked up fit the criteria? If so I would love to register him and have him rep harvest spirits in my lair! (We're about to move to the Light flight soon!) Adult scry: He has the opal tertiary but I think it could serve a similar role to glimmer! Luring birds, especially corvids like crows and ravens that like shiny things, and then scaring them off!
