Walking against the marshy borderland, a lone pair of figures trekked idly against the swaying, brackish tide. Though it was still daytime, the moon had risen into the grey, still sky, casting a comfortable shadow against the dreary Delta Riverside. It was chilly, albeit only a bit- almost as if the uplifting, fluttering wings of the Nocturnal migration had brought winter winds with it. Of course, it might have been a much more normal occurrence elsewhere, especially during this time in the year, but it was uncommon for it to be cold in the sparse landmasses that littered the water domain, even in the winter. Now unobscured by the dark brambles, it became evident that the source of the echoing voices was none other than an ornately dressed Pearlcatcher, and her Snapper companion; the former of which was carrying an obnoxiously bright lantern. She appeared to be humming, clearly unbothered by their changing surroundings as they approached the Tangled Woods. "Don't you think we've been walking for a while?" The Snapper remarked, "It's cold- and we're getting closer to the shadow domain's borders than I expected." [i]Shhh-[/i] "It's so cozy out here! The water is such a nice, dark shade. Take it in while you can! In a few days, it'll all be back to normal, plus, this is a nice break from the sand." The Snapper scoffed, her face was mostly covered by a hastily pulled on shawl, but it was evident that she seemed doubtful. "The water looks stagnant to me, and there's mud everywhere. I'm ready to go home, Circe." "Oh- come on, Idyia! Don't you want to see them?" "Honestly, I really would love to. But somehow, I don't quite believe this was a worthwhile endeavor. You've done [i]such[/i] a good job of over exaggerating everything in the past, and I'm starting to believe we walked all this way for nothing. FAQ

What is this?: It’s a mass hatch... with lore? Writing? Something?

How long will it take? Hopefully not too long! I want to be done by the end of NotN, at least! But ideally it would only take a couple of days, max.

Do I need to read everything?: Yes. Reading is mandatory. Kidding, I’m kidding. Feel free to read as much or as little as you want. It’s just there for fun, and if it doesn’t need interest you, feel free to skip over all of it. Check out the second post for a more concise list of all the hatchlings!

Can I post (insert-this-here)?: As long as you aren’t breaking any of FR’s rules, go ahead! It’s encouraged!

Are you selling (insert-dragon-here)?: Unless I’ve labeled them as a keeper, yes! And even if they are labeled as being kept, feel free to offer. I don’t bite. I’d likely trade most of them for an egg, to be honest. If you’re interested, let me know! xD

Can you ping me if you sell (insert-dragon-here)?: Yep. All you have to do is ask.

(Insert-dragon-here) isn’t in your lair?: That’s probably because someone else is holding them for me! If you’re unsure of whether a dragon has been sold or not, just ask me. You can contact me however you feel most comfortable! (Ping, pm, etc...)

Will you be auctioning (insert-dragon-here)?: If interest is high enough, or I deem them ‘worthy,’ then yes. If I’m going to auction a dragon, I’ll likely make than distinction. If not- they’ll probably be flat-sold, exalted (if they’re unfortunate enough), etc... However, even if a dragon is going to be auctioned, if you want to offer, go ahead.

Are you going to do this again?: Maybe? Who knows! I’ll have to see how this goes. Can’t say I’m opposed to the idea. Probably the opposite, actually.

Who are the dragons in the story?: They’re in my lair ;) (I need to redo all my lore, and redress/rename most of my dragons... so just ignore that.)

Sitting in from of them were dozens upon dozens of eggs. Some of them were nearly submerged in the still, dark pools of water. Others lay in the mud, overturned, undisturbed. It was hard to believe that no one had yet to come across this collection of eggs, especially when you took into account the fact that they were well into migration season. Nothentheless, they were here now, alone, damp, and tired.

Streaks of black bled into the shallows, swirling with the liquid to create an odd amalgamation of debris and water. It didn’t quite look healthy- but then again, the Tangled Woods wasn’t well-known for having a welcoming appearance, and they were nearly on the border between it.

“What should we do?” The Snapper exclaimed, clearly not having expected the sight in front of them, “are we supposed to incubate them? Why are there so many?”

“Well, first of all- I’d say no. Second of all, I don’t know, and third of all- I told you so.”

Idyia gawked at the Pearlcatcher, looking both insulted and dumbfounded at the same time. In the background, the trickling of water and crinkling of leaves against the wind provided for a sense of calm. It was becoming more and more apparent that they would be unable to provide shelter for all of the eggs, and frankly, she wasn’t the biggest fan of hatchlings anyway.

“Alright. I was thinking we should probably leave the egg shells here, and uh, go from there.” Circe seemed to be relatively composed, at least.

“Egg shells? Where?”
