A mysterious figure, not from any of the surrounding clans, appeared in the mouth of Shatterbone one morning. Eyelet sensed trouble in his first footsteps. Janus was a devious womanizer -- at least in the spiteful Apothecary's eyes. He came with a loaded ultimatum for the mournful, widowed queen: that he would revive her only son. Failure to comply would result in usurpation of the most unsavory kind. Destitute of any hope, the queen frantically complied, her Head Apothecary dissuading against it all the while. What resulted was the tumultuous downfall of their Clan; that was Eyelet's take on it once again. Janus coerced the queen into giving him the role as head Apothecary so that he would have more hands in the tedious revival process. The queen's mood wasn't improving, either, and Eyelet was dragged further away from the pained cries of the Clan's laborers. His promotion to king, despite Jatropha's age-related infertility, was the straw that broke the back. She was beside herself that he was a no-good, yellow-bellied fiend out to leech control over the entire Clan's leadership... and that perhaps wrecking his biggest stake was the last ditch at returning to normalcy her clan would get. With the help of the queen's servant's perception-blocking magic, she purloined the egg, knowing it would be fit to artificially hatch any day. The royal cargo would find itself in peril soon enough, as Janus immediately sensed the egg's removal from the life-giving canister it was painstakingly developed in. He ordered the Shatterbone Commander to send the most capable fleet in search of the thief, knowing very well who had committed treason against her authority. He stepped to the mouth of the Clan's home and stared grimly into the storm brewing on the horizon. The little Fae's magic was no match for the Mirror pack's hunting prowess. She fainted, and plummeted limply to the ragged terrain below, leaving Eyelet a sore, white thumb in the boisterous storm. The savages' heat-seeking eyes left the duo hopeless from the start, regardless. Adrenaline and rage coursed through Eyelet's bloodstream. Her frenzied flight was cut short as searing bolts of lightning struck all around the thirteen dragons. Paralyzed in fear, she crashed on a sandy beach. Their eyes temporarily blinded by such intense signatures, the Mirrors continued overhead, allowing Eyelet and the feeble egg to keep their lives. While Eyelet escaped onto a Wind clan's ship and went on to raise the reborn prince with a lucky fellow, Janus was left to pick up the pieces. The queen had greatly lost trust in him, but in her delusion, could not bear to let him go. Ceding that he was the capable one of the two, she let him keep his positions. Eyelet was an Apothecary serving a once-prosperous clan deep in the Cairnestone Rest. She was left to take care of grievous injuries after her queen, Jatropha, began to neglect her duties to quell the skeletons guarding the Rest's geodes.

He conducts routine search missions for Ajagami and the fugitive, his scorn ever-growing for the dragon who ruined his only chance at a happy love and leadership.

Dante:
Shady Medicine

While his work revolves more in the ancient incantations and herbal spells dating back to the times of the Second Age or the occasional arts of black magic and necromancy, there is one thing Dante hates more than those who think of him to be a traitor of the clan (which hasn’t been entirely confirmed so far)… is technology, specifically lightning-based technology; his most sworn mortal enemy of science, especially a certain obsidian colored Bogsneak who believes it to be more potent than the traditional herbs and spells. The nerve of him, taunting the old ways like they were nothing!

Donar:
Mad Scientist

For a long time now Donar had been experimenting cautiously-- and enthusiastically-- with the powers of electricity; finding useful ways of enhancing a dragon’s lifetime with its potent properties, and discovering more potential benefits for any means of medical science.
