"Revere Me."
Name & Title: Ahmaladeus, The God-Queen (Matriarch of Gernsabella)
Bio: Ahmaladeus, born to the plague flight, has taken the teachings of adaptability to the extreme. She studies magic and sciences ceaselessly in an effort to gain the knowledge to take control of the world for herself. Perhaps delusional she believes all of dragon kind will follow her commands as the "God Queen" and those that don't will be crushed by her Mystic might. She has an impressive IQ making her a brilliant tactician, a ruthless manipulator, and a prodigy caster, though a bit arrogant. The fact that she has designed a magic formula that allows her to shift her innate element briefly should be proof enough of her brilliance. That particular tract of research took up all of her time up until the point she decided to begin her own clan with her loyal guardian companion Gevelion. The guardian was the test subject for several of the magic techniques and many more strains of mutanagenic diseases Ahmaladeus needed to utilize in preparing her body for the technique she developed. The results of the diseases show in more than just her new magic, they also caused permanent changes to her physically. The growth of feathers on her wings and tail were unexpected, but in a twist of fate they were colored just right to have similar appearance to the peacock firebird. This is oddly appropriate as Ahmaladeus likes to display her status as much as possible, she even keeps a peacock firebird, often stating how regal they look. Despite all of her posturing and haughty nature, she does have manners when around those she has just met or those that are on equal grounds with her. Granted there are few who are on equal grounds with her individually (in her mind), but there are plenty of clans that could over power hers. She only makes enemies of those she thinks she could crush or reign in at a later date. Rarely does she leave the lair, preferring to send envoys or other clan members to do the work for her. When she does leave, she always travels with some of the more combat ready members of the clan.
The clan she created, Gernsabella, is focused on one thing; advancing knowledge of magic and the elements for use of the control and betterment of the world. While Ahmaladeus is interested in world control to prove the power of the Plague flight's evolution, she also sees it as a way to end the conflict and launch the world into a more prosperous era. In her mind the only way to do this is to find a way to permanently imbue herself with all of the elements and ascend to god hood. Early research has shown that dragons from the other flights will be needed to gain that power, but it is unclear as to what is needed to make the elements coexist in a single body. This is the reason it has become common for Ahmaladeus to take in unwanted hatchlings and dragons of other flights.
[She is the entire reason I have as many apparel slots unlocked as I do. Also, the only dragon I've purchased art for. <3 She's my favorite tyrant.]
"Get back to work? Get on my level first."
Name & Title: Steel, Clan Tinkerer
Bio: Steel was originally from the lightning flight, but left when she felt her talents were being under utilized building spires. She left and was discovered by clan gernsabella when she attempted to 'barrow' some of the scribe's ancient technology. Ahmaladeus originally adopted her to bring a lightning dragon into the clan, but her aptitude for barrowing has proven to be far more useful than planned. Having been an engineer on the spires, she knows her way around the shifting expanse making the collection of schematics from her home lands quite profitable. Devices that are typically only developed there are now being produced in small quantity deep within the plague territory. Though Steel's abilities go far beyond just building from schematics, she is a genius when it comes to creating new devices. Between her, the Alchemist, the Magic researcher, and the scribe,marvelous new devices can be produced and strange research can be preformed. Any mechanical bauble one could conceive, Steel can make it a reality. Aside from using her gadgets to improve life in the lair, she also acts a saboteur especially against clans in the shifting expanse.
Overall Steel keeps to herself, mostly interested in testing new devices or building the schematics she has acquired. She is constantly either drafting or building, rarely leaving the lair unless it is to run tests. She has no problems with using experimental equipment on living subjects, in fact she augmented her own wings with previously untested equipment. Luckily enough the augments worked as planned and she is now a much better flier than most of the clan. Her contributions to lair defenses has also been a great help, automated systems mean less healing time in the long run. She is also part of the reason the scribe is an effective combatant, the battle armor she built him has allowed him to stand against foes many times his size.
[Literally the only dragon I've bought older holiday apparel for which makes her the dragon I've spent the most treasure on their apparel. I know I spent several days on fairgrounds saving up for that golem gauntlet]
"No storm too fierce, no sky too high, no delay. Windsinger couldn't catch me"
Name & Title: Richthofen, Aerial ace
Bio: Richthofen loved to fly ever since she was hatched, having been the first of her brood to take wing. Her entire life she spent improving her flight speeds, learning how to navigate even the fiercest storm, and practicing aerial maneuvers. Her body has become a fine tuned machine adapted to high altitudes and hardened against the forces she exposes it to. Above all she has created a technique to push her flight muscles harder than physically possible, not to mention cut through the air more efficiently. She came into Gernsabella's care after a race against Steel that ended in her favor, though her interest in the Ridgeback's augments lead her back to the God Queen. Ahmaladeus quickly sought to bring the skydancer into her clan as a messenger and spy, challenging her to fly any and every sky she was told to. Being one who couldn't leave a challenge unanswered, Richthofen accepted and now serves as the clan messenger with a perfect record. Beyond her work as a messenger she also operates as aerial reconnaissance surveying battlefields and enemy encampments from high up. Steel's gadgets help in this regard as they allow detailed viewing at a distance. She is also the primary teacher of the courier squadron who are responsible for keeping communication between the clan and their allies constant.
Richthofen is a fun loving individual, always looking for thrills in the form of aerial competition. She gets by through making her job into a game, taking the most dangerous route between destinations. Since there may be no dragon capable of out flying her, she delights in teasing her aerial opponents before taking off with a vapor cone and a bang putting vast distances between them in very little time. In conversation she tends to be very short with her answers, rarely will she speak at length.
[When that aviator apparel came out, the first thing I wanted was a red scarf. Then I found a red Skydancer to go with it because skydancers are super awesome and look the best in aviator gear,
{Change my mind meme} ,then I thought "She would look even better in black aviator gear with the red scarf, cause all aerial aces wear a red scarf!". Then I thought "She's red, so she needs a good aerial ace name that goes with her redness." I am still proud of myself with her, I love red and black, which can only get better if you add gold to the mix.]
{Shout outs to my other favorites that lost the top three slots. Eclipse, Solaris, Marrow, Scorn, Diabla, Belladona, Rune, Shard, Glicaehalla, Lumous, Storm, Kat, Nero, Ineffra, Ghast, Romulus (one of the dragons I let my mother assemble the apparel for), Andromeda (another my mother dressed), Posiedon (thank my mother again), Bright, Shine, Avarice, Shill, Vex, Blitz, Leveritan, Mellaterva, Galeesha, Siderius, and Marionette. Also the entire courier squadron because I can't get enough of skydancers in aviator gear. <3}
