I'm currently working on my first disabled dragon who is named Lysander. Lysander was born completely blind and due to his disability he was left for dead by his parents who thought he would just slow them down. Lorcan who is Lysander's twin brother refused to to leave his brother behind. Lorcan supplied shelter and food for himself and Lysander until they were taken in and cared for by _____(pending). Tired of always being taken cared of and feeling useless Lysander train his other senses everday to some day become one of the strongest dragons in my lair. She's pretty good with them now but still has problems with long-distance flights.

Due (partially) to the type of magic they were born with, both Thunderlight and Drizzle have some pretty serious social anxiety (they are starting to get more comfortable, though!) I ended up writing my art dragon as autistic without even realizing it at first. Someone pointed out to me that a lot of her traits have a lot in common with some of the symptoms; difficulty learning, limited speech, obsessive interest in all things purple, hatred of certain sounds, and so on. So I did some more research on it (since I didn't know much about it at the time) and decided to just roll with it. I'll love her to death either way. She's great. When this happens, lore-wise I'm making it so that the transformation went a bit wonky and his back legs stayed fae-legs, so they're small and twiggy compared to the rest of him. He'll have prosthetic legs to help him out with walking. Just to be on the safe side I'm still trying to do more research on it though before I go adding it to her bio.
