He was the founder of the clan, and was, as his title suggests, an absolute tyrant. The dragons of the clan grew restless and rebelled against him, failing the first time. They then attacked after Aldrich, the head of the Royal Guard of Tdul, went on a journey to re-evaluate their life choices. This time they succeeded and Ingrid (pal in the profile picture) was designated as the new clan leader, and the clan has been prosperous ever since. Tdul still lives within the clan, he's just more reclusive.

She was everyone's mother, always watching over the Clan and protecting its future with tooth and claw until her mate decided their adopted hatchling was old enough to take over. It was then that she loyally followed him to serve under the Tidelord - - Until recently, of course. Just after a plague and forest fire that killed their daughter, Venia made a return, and lives a content retirement of sorts - just until her leadership is needed again, anyway.

Everyone here is just random people across sornieth who have little to nothing in common beyond the fact that the person currently responsible for feeding them is me. Most of them have never even heard of eachother. I haven't really gotten around to ironing out her lore yet but i have some general ideas of the direction it should go. Currently, she and "Rust" (my random progen before i scattered him and changed his name, considered a separate character from my random as he is now) hatched from an abandoned nest in the desert where they spent most of their childhood relying on eachother to survive before being picked up by a small npc clan. Said clan teaches them how to speak and how dragony cultural things work. In these lessons the clan tells them all about the search with grand sugar-coated stories about guardians who's charges were their mates or children or other such idealistic outcomes. Oblivion takes the idealized versions of the search to heart, and using the new words learned in their speech lessons, Rust and Oblivion name eachother based on things they've seen that in some way resemble them. At some point Rust gets a battle trophy in the form of a longneck warrior's shield attached to a chain that he wears as a collar. Oblivion eventually enters the search, and based on her "internal compass" pointing towards him and the heartwarming charge stories she grew up with, she decides Rust is her charge. Something happens that gets Rust killed or at least separated from her in a way that he's unlikely to survive and leaves his trophy collar with her (and they may or may not be separated from the npc clan also, i haven't decided) and she realizes that the shield collar is actually her charge, not her brother. She spends the rest of her life wallowing in guilt and feelings that she's somehow betrayed her dead brother by "not loving him enough" for him to become her real charge, and conflicted feelings towards the shield-amulet he left behind. She hates it, seeing it as a symbol of his loss and her supposed failure, yet she also loves it, seeing it as the last remaining connection she has to him. Regardless of how she feels towards it, she can never abandon it. It is, after all, her charge. It could be said that she's a living cautionary tale about the dangers of viewing the search as something universally positive and destined for a favorable, family-friendly outcome. This is just an outline of her backstory. I don't know what she's doing currently. I haven't quite gotten to writing that part yet, so it's entirely possible she's joined up with another clan or something along the way. Maybe she's hunting down whoever destroyed her last clan or something.
