@VoxxVoleur Thank you again for your interest in my lore! I do enjoy the research once I get started; I've found it helps me write more easily, and I get more ideas that way, too. I think I'll actually be making a list of people who want to be pinged as well as people whose lore I should check out regularly. If nothing else, at least I'll always be reminded I have stuff to read. XD

Yup, I might swap Xave out in the future; there's actually a hatchery pair I have my eye on, but they haven't produced the colors I want yet. I also might start looking elsewhere when my lair's expanded.

Rivalen's lovely! She's hinted as being quite dangerous, a sort of magical femme fatale, so it was pleasantly jarring to see that she doesn't actually like being set apart from the other dragons. That was the part that made me go back and check while thinking, "I thought she was evil! ...Wait, it never said that. Was she evil to begin with?" I kind of want to give her a hug now. And then maybe sit down and chat with her over some hot cocoa. XD

Anemone's story was a pretty interesting read, too. The Earth Clan that first took her in might come as solace to some dragons, so it was really intriguing to see how and why she saw it as an unbearable place. And Rosaline, aaaaahhhh! Poor Rosaline. ='(

I love how you incorporated tidbits of FR's lore, too. I recently finished a piece for another user, set in the Plaguelands, and I facepalmed while I was reading your lore today because: "The Shattered Serpents would've been awesome to include."

Rivalen was fantastic again, especially with the two unnamed hatchlings, and Briar was also a pretty good character. The kind who makes your blood boil, but you can't get angry at her because you know where she's coming from and also she might kill you. Elara also piqued my interest. I checked her bio and was like, "Awww, so short!", but then I realized it worked well with Anemone's view of her. She does her own thing and maintains some mystery about herself, even after all the time they trained together.

I enjoyed reading your lore! Yes, feel free to send me a ping if there are any more you'd like to show off. I'm always in awe at how other writers can come up with stories for their characters. I mean, I do the same thing, too. But it never stops being amazing no matter who does it and how. :D

@Disillusionist

That makes sense. I should probably do more research than I do right now. Pinglists are always a good idea too.

I never really thought about the contrast between Rivalen's dark look and her disliking of being an 'outcast' in the clan and as a whole. To me, that was always a part of her. The last bit of her travel log with the heightened bitterness towards the dark Imperial boys dragons she's met never talking with her again made it clear that being alone and not having a mate really isn't her thing, because she's lonely and who wouldn't want a beautiful dragon like her? I guess the first impression of, "Oooh, dark evil dragon" is stronger for anyone else looking at her. To me, she's just a lonely girl who would really like a mate, who just happens to be a darker than dark scholar. She's the kind of dragon who would actually love to have cocoa, but everyone thinks she's evil or just involved in something fishy so they never bother.

There's actually a long story behind Anemone. I adopted her from a clan that gave me the snippet above her actual coding, the base coding looks like Rivalen's bio - it doesn't have anything above the name / quote line. I loved her and that bit of lore when I first bought her, so naturally I immediately started working on continuing the bio. Hours later it was 80% done and the computer crashed, destroying my 1k words. I was so upset that I could hardly look at her. I went through months of that, until I came across a thread where I named the writer of the snippet as a good lore writer and soon after ended up getting Anemone's painting for free just for complimenting the artist. The beautiful painting and reminder that the original owner would've liked seeing continued lore got it done. :D

Rivalen and Briar are characters, who frequently pop up in other dragons' bios. It was especially fun to write with how perceptive Anemone is of everything. She notices...everything, which revealed a lot more about the characters she met than others have. I've found that people either love and get a kick out of Briar, or much more often are infuriated by her. :D Rivalen is much more likable; almost everyone likes her in lore and ooc.

Elara's bio snippet is actually just there due to my test of editing the code to my liking. XD Her story will be written in a fashion and at a word count like Anemone's, and that would be why it's not done. Anemone's story took a month and very few people read it. Motivation has been lacking for me to work on my bigger projects due to that. If you do want to read it, I can definitely get it up sometime. It shows what kind of Goddess Plaguebringer is in my lore, not a nice one to say the least.

Shattered Serpents are the best to include. I think there are a few more like it, but I don't remember them off of the top of my head.

Please do ping me for any other dragons you want someone to read about, or just if you don't hear from me for a while! It's hard to find really dedicated lore writers on here.

@HamiltonAndPeggy Ah, a lair with a theme. I am completely lacking in themes. Seaweed and coral. The bottom, but not the depths. What you could scubadive to easily.

@Freowyn It's a well done, detailed lair, how nice. Wow. I can't believe that I'm actually liking a Pearl dragon. The Cloudgazer's ties in the base Pearl color, and the Robe helps tie in the Poi/Tox accent color. She's extremely well put together. Again, stunning on their own or as a pair. The use mixed gold apparel on them is fantastic, and I'll really have to try it sometime. Those aren't sets I would ever dream of mixing, but they work like they were made to do so. Yet another pair I would be honored to just have one of, but your lair is full of these pairs. Do these two nest? Do they have a pinglist? Will I be broke? [s]Yes[/s]. Especially not a dressed one. Oddly enough, she reminds me of the pale, sickly Coatl lore.

@VoxxVoleur About Rivalen -- yes, that's it exactly! I kind of imagine her conversations go like this:
-- Other derg: I enjoy walking along the shores of the Sea of a Thousand Currents! ...Just not too near the water, mind you. And you? What do you like to do for fun?
-- Rivalen: I enjoy reading books and doing research on dark magic.
*awkward silence*
-- Other derg: ..................I see. .__.

It's also kind of sad to think that the dragons who do stay to chat with her are only interested in the information she can provide, or else they are interested in dark magic for all the wrong reasons.

I'm sorry you lost a lot of your work! I've been there before -- with a school research paper. D: It was horrendous. I'm glad things ended well for you, though. Anemone's painting is a real standout. Your story is a lovely reminder that FR does have a wonderful community. Writing is tough -- but I guess if you did it once, you can do it again!

Rivalen and Briar -- I like to think that when we're younger we're mostly Rivalens, and then we grow up to be cranky old Briars. Or at least I'm getting there. XD I'm looking forward to reading Elara's extended lore -- I read long lore only during my days off, so it may take me awhile to get through it. Thanks in advance for the ping! --And you've also been added to my own lore pinglist. :3
