Magistrates of House Aaldir:
While there is a Lord and Lady Magistrate, the House is mostly run by the Lady Nike
The Council of Skagos:
Named after the crumbling library underneath the town, the council comprises of 12 seats, one for each Flight, and they are the presiding elected law of Iasos. They keep relations between the mage clan and townsfolk.
Sworn Swords:
Notable members from within the Knights, sworn swords are dragons with exceptional skills that set them apart from their fellows. Often seen as bodyguards for high ranking mages, they are also known to be assigned to a location, such is the case of Keening, the Sworn Sword of Iasos who is charged with command of the city guard.
Master Wizard:
A Master Wizard is a mage that oversees small matters within the mage side of house that do not require high authority such as a Magistrate to be resolved. While there can be more than one Master Wizard, it is extremely rare due to the vast amounts of time and talent required to be qualified to be considered for the position. A Master Wizard is considered to be the most knowledgeable and skilled mage in their field of expertise, and also be skilled in many other fields to be able to offer sound advice and to handle disagreements that get out of hand. A Master Wizard is considered the face of the Mage side of House, and as such there is high pressure on a dragon of such rank to uphold.
Wizards and Spellwrights:
The majority of House Aaldir's mages fall into these ranks. Wizards are the older mages who earned their position by hard work and they mostly devote themselves to research and vary rarely seen taking part in House politics.
Spellwrights, on the other hand, are young but powerful mages who have demonstrated considerable magical talent. Some may apprentice themselves to a wizard, but most seek their own path and conduct their own, independent research. They are the most involved in politics, and can be seen making their voices heard during any council meeting.
Knights of Aaldir:
League of warriors, the Knights of Aaldir are considered the physical force of the House. They are the ones that patrol the streets and walls of Iasos, and even though they are considered to be at the bottom of the House ranks because of their lack of magical study, their word still accounts for much. Knights are often seen to have Mouths of their own.
Mouths:
Mouths, or apprentices, are dragons who are under the tutelage of a higher ranking House member. They are the younger dragons seeking to learn and advance in skill, whether that of magic or swordplay? and represent their teachers in day to day chores and meetings.
