Soooo... it looks like the Android version can't open .PSD files. You're going to have to open the files on your computer and save them as a .mdp file. Then, you transfer the .mdp file to your mobile device. Here's a walkthrough after that:

@FarOverThePlains Wow...okay, this is definitely not an intuitive process for most users, I'd reckon. They really could have made this easier. If you have a PC, you can move files around by connecting the Kindle to it. If you don't, you'll likely need a file manager if the Kindle didn't come with one. I use Solid Explorer. Also, if you run Marshmallow or Nougat (Android 6 or 7), you'll need to grant it storage permissions or it will crash. Let me know if you need help with this.
OKAY. SO. Hopefully I make this easy to follow (sorry for the huge images, anyone viewing this on PC) :
Upon opening the app, you're greeted with this screen:

Click Local Saves, then the plus in the top right corner:

You'll see the directory, and note that it's empty. No way to change the directory in the app that I can see, which is...not very user-friendly. Hm.

Here's where you'll need your file manager. These screenshots show Solid Explorer Pro, but free should be the same (hope...fully...)
There will be a dropdown of your folders. The MediBang folder is empty...

...so you'll need to navigate to your Downloads, where the files you downloaded are. You'll note that I really need to clean mine.

Long press on the file, then click the icon that looks like two sheets of paper to copy it to your clipboard.

Navigate back to the MediBang folder, and click the clipboard in the bottom right...and presto!

Now you can go back to the MediBang app, select import MDP as before, and...

Mission success!! :D

Let me know if you need any help following this!
