--Export .gifs with transparency?? And what websites support that?? I'm using Clip Studio Paint, trying to get my little ghost crow to bounce, the background is transparent in the program. I do Export Animation > Animated Gif. I've tried with and without dithering to no obvious effect >.> (though I'll be honest I'm a newbie and have no idea what that means) EDIT: Okay I should add, I know how to export thing with transparency XD The exact same image exported as a PNG comes out fine. Thing is though, I don't have a way to preview the finished picture on a background that isn't white, so I have to wait until I upload it somewhere to see if it worked. I've tried PostImage and Img Safe, and both come up white <.< (The way things were going, I'd hoped I could blame the website, but it could also be my 10-year-old computer? Maybe?) Pretty much all websites "support" transparent images because if the image has no background, then that's how it will display. I'm sure there's an exception out there somewhere though. Dithering is how smooth(er) shades are achieved in gif files, by doing a dot pattern intermixed of adjacent colors and helps break up visual problems. It has nothing to do with transparency. I am not familiar with Clip Studio Paint but you have two layers in your file? A transparent background and then the drawing on top? Is there a setting on the save option screen that lets you turn transparency on or off? This is how it looks in Photoshop. You can hopefully make out the transparency options at the top right and the checkboard pattern in the background tells me there IS no background, ie it's transparent. They're talking about .png files, but it *should* work for .gif files as well as long as you hide the paper layer.

@Chiclet @AboveClouds Thank you both! Unfortunately I've tried those already; the image IS transparent, and exports transparent as a PNG... just not as a gif :P I can't find the setting for it but I'll keep looking~

Well, if you can't figure it out (maybe Clip Studio doesn't support transparent animations?) you could always export the static images as PNG files since you know that works, and use an online resource to reassemble them into a moving GIF.
