THERE WILL BE 1-2 OTHER LARGE POSTS DIRECTLY FOLLOWING THIS POST AS WELL, SO ENTER AT YOUR OWN RISK.[/size] Wow, I am so impressed by the turn out for this competition! Since the starting date of January 20, 2016, we have had 51 unique artists enter a total of 80 art pieces! Every single one of my characters and dragons were drawn at least once, with Shiitake and Delilah being the most commonly drawn! Judging this competition was extremely difficult... for some artists who entered more than one piece, it was hard to pick my favorite. Deliberating between the three top pieces on who to award which prize was also extremely difficult. I even had a few close calls on the runner up prizes. And of course, I really struggled with the idea that I can't give you ALL the top prize. Every piece was so amazing! I hope that by providing individual compliments/comments on each of your works when you submitted them, you got a little taste of how much I loved them all. All in all, your gorgeous works gave me a run for my money! Please remember as I post the winners to be a good sport! Remember that prizes were not awarded solely based on skill level, but also based on the amount of effort, the quality of work, the uniqueness of the medium/style, and the accuracy of my character/dragon's personality and design. Do not be rude to myself or the winners if you feel as though you should have been placed higher! I love the color you chose for the sky; the contrast among the bright, dark, and light colors in the piece added a lot of depth to it. This is probably the most tedious and confusing part of the prize-awarding, but I'm going to try my best to make sure everything goes smoothly! Runner-ups have been ranked from 1-20, based on how high they "scored." The lining looks really amazing and the swirl in the nose and the shading on his chest are all perfect. Ooooooh, choosing my prize is going to be a big decision! I have been keen to get the Leafy Gladeboughs and the Skeletal Chimes recently, but I think I will have to place the Gladeboughs first. This is my list of preferred order:
