Creative Corner

This is something that gets to me, almost every time I try and draw a dragon with iridescent, shimmer, or crystal and facet. They're just so hard to do!
I've had people recommend putting a gradient over things to make it seem iridescent, but its just so hard to get the colours right. Anyone have any tips and tricks for shading these dastardly gem genes?
