Not sure where else to put this, but the female Ridgie pose seems to have some iffy shading on the neck spikes (particularly the 8th one down).
8th spike down is completely shaded, while the two spikes above and below it have a highlight on the top. It just looks odd yk.
It's a base shading error, which means it's consistent across all colors and genes.

Shading is on a completely different layer than the genes, which is what allows skins/accents to retain it. You're completely right, though, the staff are extremely unlikely to update the art of dragons once they're already posted. There are genes that unintentionally make a dragon's preview art completely inaccessible and unviewable (such as the one in your profile picture!) and they've been around for awhile, still unfixed.
