"Hello! I see you're interested in learning more about the Fragmented Nebula and its Strange Pairings that lead to these strange looking hatchlings," a wine and pink Aether flutters down next to you and holds a large tome over her chest. "lets see here, which pair are you interested in learning about right now?"

Sagittarius
Arcane Aether
"You see, we have many hatchlings who have cleared our rigorous testing and are looking for new homes now! Though, there's always a few who miraculously vanish from under our noses, but fret not we have various clan members keeping a lookout for these lost dragonets. We must be absolutely sure they're all shade-free before we let them wander off from the glacier. You see there's various shades slumbering deep below the ice and some of our unluckiest members have accidentally freed some, causing a lot of chaos and ruckus amongst the clan. This has lead to us developing a checklist to determine whether or not a hatchling may or may not have developed some shade-touched qualities."
Modern Breed Pairs
Nebulous Royals
The Namesake Couples, this pairing is actually involves four dragons. The main two are Nebulous and Darkcoil, and the other two are BadMoon and SkullCrusher.

Hatchlings of these four dragons tend to be odd mixtures of their respective parents, leading many to be half fae and half mirror and others to be half skydancer half obelisk. Though their wings and other secondary frills or manes are always strange and don't always make sense. For instance a fae/mirror hatchling may have large insect likes wings if they inherit their mother's butterfly genetics. Those that are a skydancer/obelisk mixture will always exhibit ethereal wings made of wispy stardust, which rarely ever keep their shape and can be more of a cloud or a mist that follows them around rather than anything sort of wing shape.
Exalted Statues
Another pairing of four dragons, this group is specifically made up of Skydancers and Obelisks, two of each in fact!

"The fearsome heirs of the Blazing Bull and the Ashen Firebird are courageous protectors. They are persistent hunters and once they have a target they will stop at nothing to bring their adversaries down. Though when off duty many seem to just be as jovial as any spiral keen on making friends. These strange Obelisk and Imperial hybrids tend to be on the larger size, and can often be found slumbering in a statuesque state - often guarding entrances or objects of high importance."
Shattered Comets
These two strange dragons hail from the Nebula far above the glacial lands. While they fly above in the upper atmosphere, their heirs fall through the clouds and grace us with their presence here on Sornieth.

Pharaoh - Wasp
Bee - Sarcophagus
Glimmer - Glowtail
The Shattered Comet duo is thought to be the last Spatial Royalty lineage that is still living their life in the cosmos. The Fragmented Nebula Royals and the Meteor Royals fell from space years ago, leaving these two icy dragons alone with the Shades in the stars. These two dragons aren't pushovers however and have been witnessed clashing against the shade one on one for the most part. Their Heirs have a strong resilience to the Shades and rarely (if ever) become Shade-Touched.
