Thanks for coming to my less-than-traditional hatchery. Here at the Frogpond Clan, we don't like to stick to the norms! All the dragons in my lair put their combined traits together to produce wild grab-bag dragons! We leave genes and colors up to the fates to produce uncommon and unpredictable dragonlings. While there are a few pairs that don't outcross (and are listed under Meet the Dragons), everyone else doesn't limit themselves to only one partner! Notable dragons will be posted, but all others will be listed on the AH at or slightly above fodder pricing. Sign up for the general pinglist to see what sort of unexpected hatchlings show up! Their job is to wrangle, tame, and distribute familiars to the clan. They're both good friends with Fiona and chat often about different behaviors and shenanigans their familiars get up to. Maeve is an adept beast healer and makes sure all creatures receive ethical care, while Taymar is more the explorer and naturalist among the two, traveling outside the lair to meet, tame, and rescue all types of familiars. Maeve has a sweet personality but an unwavering, sturdy foundation, and is hard to upset. Taymar is the more emotional of the two, becoming attached easily and outwardly passionate towards every beast they encounter. Their hatchlings are raised around many beasts and familiars and as such have an innate affinity for them. Solari is the treasurer of the clan and oversees trading arrangements, auction house sales, tends to the vault, and budgets. She is quite fussy and scatterbrained, forgetful sometimes, but always diligent and hardworking. She finds herself easily flustered and her mate, Zephyr, calms her down. Zephyr is an astute, but eccentric, inventor. He builds and creates many gadgets and tools for the clan, such as drawbridges over the swamp and automatic treasure counters. He is always looking for ways to "improve" the clan, sometimes achieving his goals, and sometimes over-complicating them. Many dragons in the clan have grown wary of his experiments, though they do appreciate his more handy contributions. The hatchlings they raise are born into a family of logic and hard work, and some choose to follow in their parents' footprints, but others find their style too restraining and long for more adventure. Solari is a worry-wort and cares a little too much at times, sort of a helicopter parent, while Zephyr approves of "messing around and finding out" as a teaching tool. Towanda has a special way with the bees-- she can charm them right out of their nest and respectfully gather enough honey to keep the clan (and the hives) happy. She tends to the bee hives and gathers wild honey. She has an adventurous spirit and doesn't like to follow rules, often leaving the clan with responsibilities left uncompleted. But her magic touch with the bees and honey are a welcome addition to the clan. Her mate, Cosmo, born of cosmic parents but choosing a more down-to-earth lifestyle, found himself adept at the art of Honey Majick, and can purify, spin, and jar honey with just his spirit. He works with the clan chefs and food keepers to come up with myriads of sweets and additives. He is a fae of few words, but amicable and quietly joyful, at peace with the honey, his mate, and the bees. Their hatchlings grow up around the insects, some larger than they are, and are sometimes incubated in the sun-warmed hives. They all tend to have a natural draw to insects and sweets, though some seem to take after their grandsires and take to the stars instead. Tourmal, a hard perfectionist and focused dragon, cuts and shapes the precious gems and minerals to form anything the clan could want-- cabochons, faceted gems, sun-catchers, and more. He is hardly sociable and keeps to himself and his work, but when he does show himself, the clan is always impressed and wear his work with pride. Paraiba is the goofier, freer spirit of the pair, designing wearable gem art with a wild artistic spirit. Her works range from the avante garde to the traditional. She likes to say the gems speak to her and tell her what they wish to become. She loves to work in her studio with her mate, a picture perfect example of opposites attracting. Their hatchlings play in the piles of gems and tend to develop a love for anything shining and glittery from the earth. WHEW, just added fancy titles to all the pairs and fixed up some formatting that was bugging me... It's shaping up to be a pretty ok hatchery! :B doot doo doo

*NEW!* Updated hatchlings for sale list, these pink and purple kids are pretty color combos and at a bargain treasure price while I rack up savings to expand nests and lair! Also updated the "who's on the nest", so get stoked for those new kids. I know I am.
