This thread is image heavy and text heavy! Every dragon sold here comes with art and a lore concept, sometimes a little lore blurb and rarely some premade bio layouts. All of their parents are lore dragons, whether they are monsters or denizens of my clan. There's a heavy emphasis on monsters, creatures, and spoopy dragons here, but not every pair are monster pairs. Bonefleck breathes her magic into them and they spring to life full grown, and then she cuts them loose to wander and find a life for themselves. Their necromantic creations are varied and many; plenty chose to move to the next plane as soon as they're born, but dozens wander the desert, the deep woods, and the coast, learning how to exist all over again. They look like piles of bones, skeletons, bodies covered in mud and driftwood, or simply roiling darkness. In essence they're earth, organic and from the land, solid- though several turn out more ghostly and ethereal than others. A rare few will lash out violently in anger or confusion; most are quiet, contemplative and inobtrusive. Insects infected with the parasitic growth are a delicacy alive or dead, and many dragons pay high prices or go to great lengths to acquire them for their dinner table. Rumors and folk medicine site the fungus as a substance that preserves youth, increases fertility, and cures heart and brain ailments when ingested. The draconic history of cordyceps is a familiar, nonhostile one. When dragons began appearing out of the dense, wild woodland known as The Womb, covered in strange growths and driven only by an insatiable hunger, the popularity of cordyceps plummeted. Doctors and scientists have found no connection to the delicious insect/fungus treats and the ravenous half-dead creatures. They theorize a different strain of fungus may have been born in The Womb, a potent hybrid or perhaps a new species entirely, and possibly due to occult meddling... but they still have not found a cause, nor a cure. The only things each afflicted dragon has in common is rapid fungal growth from within its body, the impulse to climb or fly as high as possible, and a burning hunger. Housing made especially for imperials is a common place to find federgeist, who can find any unused crag or cranny very easily in a home made for such massive creatures. They collect feathers, the darker the better, and wrap their bodies in them, practically imitating birds- it's not uncommon to find partially plucked dead birds as a sign your home might have some of the little creatures hiding about. Their children often come in large batches, but they scatter on the wind, not wanting to be seen before collecting and securing their own feathers. They where loyal to their king and queen, and for it they where punished; the royals sought power, and dabbled in dark magic. They unwittingly unleashed a curse on their entire court, everyone from aristocrat to servant. Every kid ends up somewhere on both of those unpredictable spectrums. From their experience, blindness does not seem too big a deal, but they would trade away the spirit sensitivity if they could. Most of the time they'll have humanoid art. Spirit Artists are typical of Mudbrick Abbey denizens; vibrant crytal or iridescent colors are guaranteed. They're all varying degrees of blind, though their lightning elemental eyes are still apparent. Spirit Artists are, as their title suggests, very good artists. Most have some ability such as spirit drawing, automatic writing, or channeling spirits as they create any kind of art. Interpreting random patterns in art is a rare but not unknown trait.
