A few days late into the holiday but here it is, my latest update! @DeathSpecter still got Crackle but I've decided to splurge on giving Hanako the new gene Ringlets to change things up.
Clearly a bit of spooky and serene this time but hopefully something nice for everybody. Tell your friends!

i have a question for you, i gave one of my koi pair ringlets and hatched ringlets, i was wondering what u would have priced your koi had they hatched with ringlets? i usually price my XYZ paint/piebald/gembond koi at 30kt/30g

another user has XYY kois with ringlets up for 300kt on AH but that seems steep to me, even with the new gene, that and mine aren't XYY. if you don't mind my asking your opinion so i can get an idea what to price my own :D

Sometimes when a new gene hits the market (as I've noticed over the years), prices can get pretty jacked until players decide it's easier to just spent treasure/gems on the scrolls themselves than break the bank on kids. There are color themes/fan types that do require certain genes and colors to fit the aesthetic but at the end of the day you can price your offspring however you want.
I personally try to keep my prices from being too high, so I probably would've gone with 100 or 200kt at the worst since going up the 300 feels a bit much. And that just for brand new children that have the new genes fresh on the market. The thirst for the new colors died out ages ago so giving your dragons the newest genes to satisfy those hoping for one of their own is very stressful and pricey, hence the need for such high numbers.
Koi themed dragons seem to be in a league of their own as the real fish are not only beautiful but each one is more unique than the last. Having two koi who are exactly the same is very rare in the real world so emulating that appears to be a hard-won battle. The exact colors of the parents and their resulting kids doesn't always seem to matter but staying true to the theme has proven to be the key to it all.
No matter the reds and orange, even blacks any koi-themed dragon has, at the end of the day its your product and you can do pretty much whatever you want. I hope that what I've said has proven useful and helps you in the long-run, and I'm glad that you think my pair is cute. Don't hesitate to snatch one up on the AH if you think you need some fresh blood to work with!
