My gem:treasure ratio is 1:1000, so 1 gem = 1000 treasure. so 40kT (40,000 treasure) would be 40 gems! 1:1000 is a pretty common conversion rate for a lot of hatcheries, but some people might use a slightly different conversion rate. However, since you're new and I'm trying to clear some lair space, I'm happy to send him to you for free! :)

Also, if you're interested, your flight-specific forums and the raffles & giveaways forums often have free dragon giveaways for new players! I'm also happy to answer any other questions you have to the best of my ability! :)
