If possible, just busts similar in style to your first example with the black and white patterns on your art thread? They could just be touching foreheads or leaning shoulder-to-shoulder/back-to-back, whatever you please!

@vovina cute! i'm loving sandra's design especially. i've actually always struggled with two character pieces, but i've been working on it recently and i'm willing to give it a good try. busts/waist ups would definitely make it easier for me, too. i'll do it, and that price sounds just fine.

My apologies I completely forgot a ref for that! Their height difference is about like this, but please feel free to make them closer to the same height or Burton leaning over. It doesn't matter too much!
