There's more to Shadow than just circuses, tricks, and jesters. The skin submission thread says this:

Plenty of past Shadow fests have more heavily embraced the circus/trickster vibe. Personally, seeing way more skins embracing the environmental aspects of Shadow is such a nice change of pace [emoji=crescent moon 2 size=1]
