Bumblebeaks are fan-made FR familiars that are sold as gacha-like adoptable/breedable creatures adapted with several features such as a currency and inventory system to allow users to play like a manual forum game or ARPG (Art Role Playing Game). Players can purchase and sell their Bumblebeaks and items for FR or Bumblebeak currency (called Honey), breed their Bumblebeaks, and participate in various events for prizes.
But it doesn't end there! I have many future and ambitious plans for Bumblebeaks, such as the ability to gain reputation with NPCs to receive discounts from their shop, a crafting system to fuse low tier items together to obtain better items, a way to recycle unused and unwanted item/Bumblebeaks, and to implement wearable items that any player can use to dress-up their Bumblebeak and/or use to make and sell their own custom clothing.
You do not have to make an inventory to be able to order a Bumblebeak, but I would highly suggest it if playing the events and ordering from the Gacha is something you'd be regularly interested in rolling on! An inventory keeps track of all of your profiles, currency, and items which can all be earned just be participating in events and in the Discussion Thread.
To receive an inventory, fill out the following form:
FR Profile: Please provide the actual url for easy setup!
TH Profile: Please provide the actual url for easy setup! This section is optional, as I will need to identify who gets awarded the Honey when submitting Bumblebeaks to
our TH.
Code:

Avian, I would like an inventory.

Disclaimer: The NPC Reputation and Badge system is currently a work in progress! This will be delivered after catalogs for Genes, Markings, and Mutations.
After you get your inventory, it should look something like this, minus the items.
♥
Category names the following sections for your FR and TH usernames, your Honey, and the names of the NPCs you can gain reputation with.
♥
Information lists the name and links to your FR/TH profiles, your current Honey balance, and the percentage of reputation you have reached with the available NPCs.
♥
Badges are purely cosmetic achievements that are displayed in your inventory! You can proudly show these off anywhere.
Disclaimer: As of now, there is no catalog that lists the currently available markings, genes, or mutations, but that is the next thing I am working on to make available for everyone!
In the Bumblebeak Directory document, all Bumblebeak's that exist are catalouged, along with several different important stats.
♥ A Bumblebeak's
ID Number is a number that cannot be changed. It is the number at which it was made and is primarily used by me to address specific Bumblebeaks and also to act as an easy way to locate a Bumblebeak in the document.
♥ The
General information tab includes the name of the Bumblebeak, the rarity of the Bumblebeak, the FR name of player that owns them, and an image of the Bumblebeak. The rarity of the Bumblebeak (In order from most common to most rare: Common, Uncommon, Rare, Event, or Limited ) is determined by the highest rarity Gene the Bumblebeak has.
♥ The
Gene section lists all five genes that a Bumblebeak carries. These genes include the Head, Collar, Arms, Legs, and Tail sections.
♥ The
Marking section lists all markings a Bumblebeak has. These markings are visible patterns on your Bumblebeak, with the top layer being listed as Marking 1, and the lowest layer being Marking 5. Your Bumblebeak can sometimes have no markings at all, while also only ever having a maximum of 5 individual markings.
♥ The
Mutation section lists various mutations on your Bumblebeak, which are rare occurrences that give your Bumblebeak various physical differences such as wings or antennae. These have a small chance from occurring through Gacha and breeding, but you can increase your chance of obtaining a mutation by breeding two Bumblebeak with a mutation together. An additional boost if they share the same mutation, or if you use a stronger love potion (unreleased currently).
♥ The last section is the
Heredity section, which lists the Bumblebeak's parents and offspring.
About Rarity
Items and Bumblebeaks are categorized by their rarity. For items, their rarity is determined by the price they are listed at in the market, while a Bumblebeak's rarity is determined by the rate at which they can be pulled from the
Gacha Banners at.
Items
Common -
10 Honey and below
Uncommon -
11 Honey to
20 Honey
Rare -
21 honey or more
Event - Varies in price, is only available once in awhile
Limited - Varies in price, is only available once (and possibly special prizes/contests)
Bumblebeaks
These are the Standard Banner (not available) rates only, special banners have different rates that are typically noted in their respective section. A Bumblebeak is classified by its highest rarity, and that rarity applies for its Genes, Markings, and Mutations. For example, if a Bumblebeak has all Common Genes and one Common Mutation, but also has one Uncommon Marking, then it is considered an Uncommon Bumblebeak because even though it only has one Uncommon trait, it is always classified by the highest rarity it has.
Common - 75%, most common rarity
Uncommon - 20%
Rare - 5%
Event - 0%, rates change on event banners
Limited - 0%, rates change on limited banners, most rare rarity
About Genes
A Bumblebeak's Genes display what their physical characteristics look like in five individual categories made up of the Head, Collar, Arms, Legs, and Tail sections. You can change these Genes to a random variation within the same rarity by using a
Gene Scroll awarded from events or purchased from the shop with Honey.
|
These five sections are defined as follows:
Head is the first section, comprised of the eyes, mouth, and crest. The eyes and crest-the feathers behind the head, or occasionally something else depending on the head-type such as ears or hair-are usually a different color than the head.
Collar is the second section
Arms are the third section
Legs are the fourth section, which also includes the torso, although the torso shape typically remains the same as all other genes in this category which is why this section is just called the legs.
Tail is the fifth and final section. The tail section is the only gene that can be completely removed in an uncommon gene called Tailless.

Events can be small occurrences with special prizes or items to redeem for a limited amount of time, or can be bigger in scale which typically coincide with a holiday and annually occurring Event Themed Genes for Bumblebeaks. These are great ways to get going if you are new and a way to expand if you are an older player by participating and earning in-game goods.
Any on-going events will always be listed in the
Event post on the front page of this thread, and a great way to keep yourself informed when the next Event begins is to list your FR Username in the
Self-Editing Pinglist.
Disclaimer: There are unfortunately few ways to earn Honey currently, but I plan on implementing more ways in the near future, such as being able to recycle unwanted items and Bumblebeaks for Honey which will come along with the Crafting update.
Honey is an important in-game currency you earn exclusively from playing and participating in the thread. Honey is used for purchasing items from the market and for participating in special raffles and banners. You cannot purchase Honey directly from me, but you can purchase additional Honey from other users who are selling it. If that is something you are looking for, a good place to ask for that is on the
Discussion Thread.
♥ Your fastest growth of Honey will come from participating in events. Events almost always give out Honey in some capacity.
♥ You can earn Honey from free weekly raffles on the discussion thread.
♥ Submitting Writing and Artwork created or commissioned by you to the
Discussion Thread. If the user who created the work is also has an Inventory in Bumblebeaks, they will also receive Honey.
♥ Submitting your Bumblebeak to our
TH.
♥ You can trade your Bumblebeaks and items for other players Honey. You can also purchase other players Honey with FR currency and items as well.
♥ You will earn 1 Honey for every 1 post you make on the Discussion Thread. The balance will be updated whenever @
Avian posts saying they have updated up to this point in the thread.
There is a lot of information here, but lets review some of the more important things of note:
♥ Creating an inventory is not necessary, but useful if playing Bumblebeaks is something you would like to regularly partake in
♥ Honey is an in-thread currency that can be earned in many ways-such as posting on the Discussion Thread and participating in events-if you have an inventory and is a great way to purchase items from the shop that can be used to make changes to your Bumblebeak, purchase additional Bumblebeak, and items essential for breeding. Honey can also be used for special raffles and special banners.
♥ Participating in regular events is a great way to earn Honey and Items!
♥ Bumblebeaks have a total of 15 sections, 5 sections for each 3 individual categories. These categories are Genes (Head, Collar, Arms, Legs, and Tail), Markings, and Mutations.
♥ Items and Bumblebeaks have 5 rarities. In order from most common to most rare, that is Common, Uncommon, Rare, Event, and Limited. Items are categorized in this way by availability and price while Bumblebeaks are categorized by the rate at which they drop from Gacha Banners.
