With eyes like banknotes and a shimmering, treasure-tone hide, Avarice looks like a paragon of opulence. A frequent visitor of Sornieth’s marketplaces, raffle threads and auction houses, it isn’t uncommon for unwary perusers finding themselves chatting with the glamorous beast, his saccharine tones and mesmerising smile drawing the hapless in with ease. However, as the veterans of these places know well.. all that glisters isn’t gold.

Have you ever found yourself spending your hard-earned gems just as quickly as you get them, as if spurred by some sightless source? Ever made a sudden, unreasonable purchase, as if possessed by some foreign force? That is Avarice at work. A shade-touched spirit taking on the guise of a dragon, he swindles and siphons from the coffers of others, driven by naught but his namesake, and a desperate, insatiable hunger for more.
