Frank L. Baum always had an active imagination. Ever since he was a child, he would write about a fantasy world, and draw doors to it on all sorts of surfaces. Tables, chairs, stairs - you name it. It was just a coincidence that twenty-odd years later, one of the doors actually opened. Rumor spread quickly about a way out of Sornieth, and the man who opened that door was put in high demand.

Offering protection for both Frank and his world, Schwartz Industries extended its hand via contract. With his door safe, Frank looked elsewhere to keep busy. He soon wed another S.I. employee (Stella), and took a job tending to the kids. Unfortunately, the children he looks after have picked up a disturbing habit of drawing doors as well. He's voiced his concern, but is told it's "nothing to worry about."
