Phil is a remarkably kind dragon. He's not the typical gossiping Pearlcatcher, but prefers to make jokes and be silly (occasionally he winds up as the butt of the joke, but he shrugs it off harmlessly). He just does it out of the goodness of his heart. Empathetic and gentle, he's always willing to listen to his friends or joke around with them.

Phil has a tidy blue-black mane that he keeps meticulous care of. He keeps his pearl shiny, and prefers to travel with it safely clutched in his hind paw.

He is very fond of colorful socks, and often wears bright but mismatched pairs. This dragon quite enjoys flying and seeing new things.

He is extremely fond of Dan, and the two are rarely seen without each other. They are able to complete each other's sentences and jokes, always bouncing off each other in affectionate banter.
